Job Title: Academic Advisor

Hourly Pay: $25 - $40/hour

We are seeking an experienced Academic Advisor to provide guidance and support to students in their academic journey. As an Academic Advisor, you will help students plan their courses, set academic goals, and navigate educational challenges. Job Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic programs, course selection, and degree requirements
• Help students develop educational and career goals aligned with their interests and strengths
• Provide information about academic policies, procedures, and deadlines
• Assist students in understanding academic resources and support services available to them
• Monitor and track students' academic progress and provide support for improvement when needed
• Guide students through the process of course registration and graduation planning
• Maintain student records and ensure compliance with academic standards and regulations
• Organize workshops and orientations to support student academic development
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to address student concerns and ensure academic success
• Stay updated on trends in education and academic advising best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience as an academic advisor, counselor, or in a related student support role
• Strong knowledge of academic programs, curricula, and student resources

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple student cases and provide personalized support

• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Familiarity with student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite
