Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Acquisitions & Asset Management Intern to support our team in evaluating new investment opportunities and enhancing the performance of existing assets. This internship offers hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of multifamily real estate investing—from underwriting to closing to operational strategy. Although there is no starting pay, there will be bonus opportunities for those who help underwrite successful acquisitions.

Responsibilities

Acquisitions:

  • Assist in underwriting prospective multifamily acquisitions using Excel models
  • Analyze rent rolls, T-12s, OM materials, and market comps
  • Conduct submarket research and demographic analysis
  • Support due diligence efforts during active acquisitions

Asset Management:

  • Track property performance KPIs and compare actuals vs pro forma
  • Assist in preparing investor updates, quarterly reports, and dashboards
  • Evaluate operational improvements and capital expenditure initiatives
  • Collaborate with property management teams to identify value-creation opportunities

General:

  • Support team members in ad hoc analyses, presentations, and special projects
  • Participate in weekly team calls and contribute insights

Qualifications
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with multifamily real estate terminology and fundamentals
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience or coursework in real estate finance is a plus
