The Prince William Medical Center campus in Manassas, VA, is part of the Novant Health UVA Health System. The campus features an acute care hospital with 130 beds and around-the-clock emergency room services; a behavioral health facility; fitness and wellness centers; and the Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center. In Haymarket, VA, a community hospital with 60 beds, the Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center, opened its doors in 2014. Our practice services Prince William Hospital and Haymarket Medical Center. The group includes 15 anesthesiologists and more than 40 CRNAs who function in a care team model. CRNAs work at the top of their scope in this care team model. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department; medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures; pre-anesthesia assessment; obtaining and/or verifying patient consent; discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient; induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia; monitoring of the patient's physiological condition; and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The position offers a flexible schedule and is part of a collaborative care team model. The location is in Manassas, VA, near Washington, DC, with many local amenities and attractions.
