Discovery Bay Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a privately funded donkey and mule sanctuary in Washington State on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula.

We are looking for a full-time, long-term Manager / Care taking couple with a passion for animals and 3-5 years of donkey and mule experience/knowledge. Currently, have 22 donkeys, all sizes, 2 mules and 2 Texas Longhorn steer. All are geriatric and most take medication and need special attention, especially hoof care.

Qualifications:
This is not an 8:00 to 5:00 job, it is a lifestyle.

Beneficial skills: vet tech or vet assistant, carpentry, mechanic skills, welding, landscaping and yard maintenance. Must be able to lift minimum of 75 lbs.

Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to: Full care of the animals, maintenance of property including owner’s estate, mowing grounds, pasture management, fence repair, barns/buildings repair, operation and maintenance of farm equipment.

Benefits:
Two bedroom, two bath newly remodeled modular home on approximately 8 acres. Property is fenced with a small barn. We offer medical, vision and dental insurance. Paid vacation after one year and honor national holidays. $30,000 - $60,000 per year
