As a Security Professional - Armed - Shopping Center Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to support a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Interact professionally with store staff, visitors, and the public while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.
  • Possess a handcuffing certification, preferred.
  • Possess a baton certification, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
