Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant to Private Investigator/ Research Assistant to join our team! As an Assistant to Private Investigator/ Research Assistant, you will focus on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to support investigations. Daily tasks might include conducting research on individuals, businesses, or events, using databases, social media, and other online platforms to find relevant information. This research helps identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, ultimately contributing to the success of investigations. You can expect to be writing detailed, accurate reports, using everything you have found. The ideal candidate has previous investigative experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to focus on a single subject or topic, leaving no stone unturned.

Responsibilities
  • Data Collection: Gathering information from diverse sources, including online databases, media, and social media.
  • Data Analysis: Identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies within the collected data.
  • Report Preparation: Creating detailed reports summarizing findings and making recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Working with other investigators and analysts to share information and coordinate efforts.
  • Examples of Research Areas:
    • Background Checks:
    • Verifying employment history, business registrations, and educational credentials.
    • Financial Investigations:
      • Identifying/ locating liable parties/ insurance policies
  • Media Scans:
    • Searching newspapers, magazines, and online sources for relevant information
  • Required Skills:
    • Strong research skills: Able to locate and analyze information from diverse sources.
    • Analytical skills: Able to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
    • Attention to detail: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of information gathered.
    • Communication skills: Effectively present findings in written and verbal formats.
    • Critical thinking: Evaluating information and drawing sound conclusions.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and online research skills

  • The ability to work odd or unusual hours, following the needs of the investigation
