Certified Patient Care Technician - Pediatric at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Certified Patient Care Technician in Pediatrics assists with daily living activities and delegated procedures under nurse supervision, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patient care. This role requires certification and training specific to patient care and phlebotomy experience is preferred. The position offers professional growth in a supportive healthcare environment focused on whole-person care at a children's hospital.

Description

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training and Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level. Or Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT)
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Health career Association

Preferred Qualification:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • 6 months of PCT experience in an acute care setting.
  • 6 months of Phlebotomy experience.
