Salary: $250,000-$350,000

Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic leadership and overall direction for the company, ensuring operational excellence, sustainable growth, and strong financial performance across HVAC and MEP service lines. The CEO will lead all aspects of business operations including strategic planning, financial management, business development, safety, and organizational culture, while driving innovation in design-build, service, and maintenance operations.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic plan to achieve growth, profitability, and market expansion in HVAC and MEP sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships in construction, industrial, and commercial markets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer satisfaction across all departments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Implement best-in-class project management, estimating, and field execution practices.
  • Drive efficiency through process improvement, technology adoption, and workforce optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and industry standards.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets.
  • Manage P&L, capital expenditures, and cash flow while ensuring financial integrity and transparency.
  • Collaborate with CFO/Controller to optimize margins, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, general contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee proposal development, contract negotiations, and client retention strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and business forums.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior management and field leadership teams.
  • Promote a culture emphasizing safety, quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of organizational structure, compensation, and incentives with strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in HVAC, MEP contracting, or building services.
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering profitable growth.
  • Strong understanding of design-build, construction, and service operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience driving organizational change and implementing scalable systems and processes.
