Cisco Network Engineer (Cisco ISE & 802.1X)

Location: Miami, FL (On/Off-Site)

Salary: $100K-$140K Clearance: Secret

About the Role

My client is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and 802.1X authentication to enhance our network security framework. This role is critical in ensuring seamless integration, authentication, and compliance with government cyber task orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, implement, and optimize Cisco ISE and 802.1X authentication across the network.
• Ensure secure and efficient user access management for workstations and critical systems.
• Develop and enforce security rules compliant with government cybersecurity task orders.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance network access control (NAC) policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve authentication and network access issues related to Cisco switches and ISE.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE and 802.1X.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco switches.
• Understanding of network security, identity management, and access control.
• Experience working in compliance-driven environments (e.g., government, financial, healthcare).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or CISSP (preferred).
