Coding Specialist Job Summary Occupation: Coding Specialist Specialty: Health Information Management / Medical Coding Salary: $29.00–$42.00 Working Hours: 40 hours/week Shifts: Day (weekends and possibly evenings required) On-Call: No Degree Required: High school diploma or equivalent + coding certification Position Type: Full Time Work Environment: Hospital or Remote (only within CA, NV, and UT) Location: 93555, Ridgecrest, California, United States Visa Sponsorship: No We’re looking for entry-level Coding Specialists who are eager to grow their skills and contribute to accurate, timely documentation that supports our clinical and administrative teams. In this role, you’ll review patient documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters. Key Responsibilities Review clinical documentation for outpatient and/or inpatient encounters Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS Level II codes under supervision Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and internal standards Support training and ongoing development of coding skills Collaborative Teamwork This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient- and mission-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
