Coffee Shop Manager – Community-Focused Café

Location: Eureka, MO
Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000 per year + performance bonuses + profit sharing
Employment Type: Full-time

About Us

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Coffee Shop Manager to lead our team, oversee daily operations, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for coffee culture, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, community-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the coffee shop

  • Recruit, train, and lead staff to deliver excellent service

  • Oversee scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations

  • Maintain inventory, vendor relationships, and supply ordering

  • Ensure food safety and health regulation compliance

  • Use POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or similar) for cash handling and reporting

  • Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction

  • Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and cost control

  • Support menu development, seasonal offerings, and community events

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant setting

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and compliance standards

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

  • Barista or catering experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role

  • Hands-on barista skills with specialty coffee preparation

  • ServSafe® or equivalent food safety certification

  • Experience with budgeting and profit-and-loss analysis

  • Background in hospitality environments focused on inclusivity or community service

Education Requirement

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred (experience may substitute)
