Position Title: Cost Accountant

Wage: Based on Experience

A Cost Accountant job in Hartford, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have a Bachelor degree in Accounting and 1+ years of accounting experience, within a manufacturing environment preferred. In this position, you will establish costing rates, analyze costs and provide recommendations, and perform labor and overhead cost rate analysis. This is a full-time, direct hire position that is fully onsite reporting to the Plant Controller with a well-respected manufacturer. A competitive salary and benefit package is offered.

Cost Accountant job responsibilities include:
- Establish costing rates based on actual costs
- Analyze cost calculations and methods and provide recommendations
- Analyze department and part-level costing
- Determine and set material surcharge rates
- Perform quarterly labor and overhead analysis and make recommendations
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and prepare financial reports
- Assist with year-end financial audit and work with the auditors

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- 1+ years of accounting experience, within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with preparing financial information and presenting information
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Experience with ERP software and MS Office
