Role Summary

The Data Coordinator II will be engaged in entering data from various source documents into the computer system for storage, processing, and data management purposes. They will train Data Coordinator I’s on job tasks and assist Report Writers and Professionals with data tabulation, and compilation of raw data and results from studies.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collect and prepare source documents for data entry, including accuracy checks, verifying, and correcting tables, and locating information when the data is incomplete.
  • Compilation and tabulation of data.
  • Transcribe data into the required electronic format, including scanning and storing completed documents in the document management systems (database, files, & forms).
  • Understand and comply with data integrity and security policies and procedures.
  • Respond to requests for information, including access to files, print information, and generating statistics on data.
  • Maintain logbooks or records of activities.
  • Facilitating data staff in completing table sets in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
  • Assist in training entry-level staff.
  • Troubleshoot/problem -solve applications and presentation of data.
  • Perform a final review of study data table sets upon completion.
  • Request/stock Reports department supplies.
  • Collaborate with Study Directors, and Scheduling staff to improve data reporting.
  • Address Quality Assurance audit findings related to data tables.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a GLP-compliant laboratory preferred.
  • Ability to learn and use novel software applications.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under specific time constraints.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office core applications and the ability to learn and use additional applications.
  • Knowledge of GLPs and other federal regulations relating to the care of laboratory animals.
  • Excellent understanding of study design and protocols.
  • Advanced understanding of laboratory operations and data collection.
