Summer 2026 Internship Opportunity - Data Scientist Intern

Are you ready to turn data into decisions? CAPITAL Services is excited to offer a Data Scientist Internship for Summer 2026! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, data-driven environment where your insights can make a real impact.

As a Data Scientist Intern , you’ll work closely with our talented Decision Intelligence Analysts and Data Scientists on meaningful projects in the following areas:

• Risk Analysis
• Model and Strategy Development
• Model Validation
• MIS Reporting

Throughout the paid 12-week program (beginning May 2026), you’ll receive a variety of training opportunities to strengthen your skills in statistical analysis and business intelligence . This internship is onsite in Sioux Falls, SD , offering you the chance to collaborate directly with our team and experience our company culture firsthand.

Qualifications:

• Junior level or higher in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics , or a related discipline
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with tools such as R, SQL, or SAS
• Interest in pursuing graduate studies in statistics or a related field
• Successful completion of an analytics or data-focused project
