Hewn, a nationally recognized and independently-owned artisan bakery in Evanston, Illinois, is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver & Packer to join our growing team. What You'll Do: This isn't just a driving job—it's a crucial role in bringing our delicious baked goods to our loyal customers! You'll be responsible for:
- Carefully packing our freshly baked breads and pastries.
- Efficiently loading/unloading our delivery van
- Safely delivering orders to our locations in Winnetka and Libertyville (two runs per shift)
- Helping the Front of House as needed while providing excellent customer service.
What We're Looking For: We need someone who is dependable, highly organized, and thrives in early mornings. This role requires:
- Early morning availability, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 AM.
- Weekend availability, including at least one driving shift on Sundays.
- ServSafe Food Handlers and Allergen certification.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- The ability and willingness to drive a small delivery van.
- Customer service and retail experience.
- The ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Basic computer skills (for printing invoices and interpreting orders).
- A positive, energetic attitude and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask and work seamlessly within a team.
