Dental Hygienist – Full Time

Are you a passionate and motivated dental hygienist looking to join a collaborative, fast-paced, and goal-oriented team? Poplar Tree Dental Care is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our hardworking and supportive office!

Schedule:

  • Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Poplar Tree Dental Care is hiring! We are looking for a FT hygienist to join our team and provide excellent patient care. We are building a very family-oriented team with goals to be patient-focused, energized, and committed to one another in delivering quality care to our community.

Previous experience is preferred, but we are willing to provide training for a great addition to our team. New grads are encouraged to apply!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in Virginia and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
  • Clinical needs as required by office

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
  • As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
