ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Director of Sales, you will lead a team of Business Development Managers, driving revenue growth by meeting monthly and quarterly quotas while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires expertise in B2B sales, marketing, and strategic analysis, alongside outstanding negotiation and deal-closing skills. Your ability to build and maintain strong client relationships will be crucial to success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve monthly sales targets, including order quantity and gross profit, by developing new and existing accounts.
  • Optimize daily operations by mastering sales, scheduling, and communication tools within proprietary software.
  • Travel to clients to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed call reports outlining lead generation strategies and business insights for Business Development Managers.
  • Provide reports on market expansion, new clients, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Develop tactical sales plans targeting the existing customer base to drive growth.
  • Consistently improve performance in sales, client visits, new projects, and revenue growth.
  • Stay updated on current and emerging business trends relevant to the industry.
  • Address significant customer concerns to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Leverage existing client relationships at local and regional levels to drive additional revenue.
  • Monitor and report on actions and sales strategies against set goals.
  • Collaborate on the design and execution of company growth incentive and rebate programs.
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify sales opportunities and strategies.
  • Contribute to high-level market penetration strategies and implementation.
  • Foster a positive company culture through effective leadership and mentorship.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record of progressive and successful sales experience.
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of high-level engagement with various customer segments.
  • Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Strong time and project management abilities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Forward-thinking and innovative mindset, with an understanding of client needs and business processes.
  • Ability to build and nurture both internal and external relationships.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in business, communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the electrical wire and cable industry.

We offer a competitive base salary: $135,000 $185,000 (open to negotiation based on experience) + performance incentives, 100% company-paid health benefits, and a 401(k) with safe harbor match.
