Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to lead the shipping and receiving operations of our Illinois distribution center. This role is responsible for overseeing the facility's daily operations, including inventory control, inbound and outbound shipments, and team performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse procedures, logistics, and safety protocols, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations of the shipping and receiving warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all functions.
• Supervise and support a team of approximately 10 employees, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
• Ensure compliance with all procedures related to receiving, storing, dispatching, and shipping of inventory.
• Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards, warehouse cleanliness, and security protocols.
• Lead weekly team meetings focused on performance metrics, continuous improvement, and problem resolution.
• Address operational issues and implement corrective actions to support customer satisfaction and internal standards.
• Approve employee timecards and time-off requests and manage scheduling to support operational demands.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to strengthen customer relationships.
• Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of warehouse operations experience, preferably in automotive parts or manufacturing logistics.
• Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive performance.
• Proficiency in inventory control, shipping and receiving, and logistics coordination.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and general transportation compliance.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities across locations.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive parts distribution or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory tracking software.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and resolve issues effectively.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Requires frequent standing, sitting, climbing, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with physical agility and endurance.
