Job Title: Industrial Electrician
Job Description

Join our team as an Industrial Electrician, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our natural gas site. This position requires expertise in bending, measuring, and threading rigid conduit. You will be working with a variety of tools and equipment, contributing to the completion of industrial electrical projects.

Responsibilities

• Bend, measure, and thread rigid conduit on a natural gas site.
• Utilize experience to bend rigid conduit up to 3 inches.
• Thread pipes accurately and efficiently.
• Apply industrial experience to handle tasks effectively.
• Work with sidewinders, hydraulic benders, and hand bending techniques.
• Ensure most piping is in place by the end of the project phase.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in bending rigid conduit up to 3 inches.
• Threading pipe experience.
• Strong industrial experience.
• Proficiency in using sidewinders, hydraulic benders, and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience from water treatment plants or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with PVC coated and metallic rigid pipes.
• Journeyman Electrician or Industrial Electrician certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

The position is based at a natural gas site, operating from 7AM-3:30PM Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours until 5:30PM and potential weekend work as needed. The role requires personal protective equipment, including hand tools, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots. Flame protection clothing is a plus.

This is a Contract position based out of Emporia, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
