Job Title: Commercial Electrician / Electrical Apprentice

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician or Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings. As a Commercial Electrician or Electrical Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and control systems in industrial and commercial environments.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and maintenance logs.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Use hand and power tools to perform tasks.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and code requirements.
• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with conduit bending, pulling wire, and cable installation.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with low voltage lighting and mechanical systems.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
