As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in Leander, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to promote a sense of security, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and any security-related observations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, following established protocols.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings to identify potential security-related concerns and address them appropriately.
• Adhere to all company and site-specific policies, including those related to the carrying and use of firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Level III armed certification for Texas.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid handcuffing certification.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
