As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer at a prominent retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and activities during assigned shifts.
• Communicate and collaborate with store management, staff, and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related incidents or emergencies that may arise within the retail environment.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if required by the state of Texas.
• Possess a handcuffing certification, which can be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
