The Coordinator works closely with the Events & Rentals team to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of service. This role serves as a stepping-stone to higher-level positions within the department. Responsibilities Assist in managing client relationships by responding to inquiries and providing information about Arena Stage's event spaces and services. Support logistical aspects of event planning, including maintaining calendars, coordinating reservations, and assisting with setup and breakdown. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for event execution, ensuring clear communication of client needs. Address client needs and concerns by routing inquiries to appropriate team members and following up. Help implement event procedures by creating and updating SOPs and checklists. Support the Business Office with event invoicing and maintaining accurate financial records. Gather and organize client feedback post-events to evaluate success and identify improvements. Contribute to marketing by updating rental space information and assisting with promotional materials. Conduct facility tours for potential clients, highlighting features of Arena Stage's event spaces. Requirements Minimum 1 year experience in events & rentals or related fields (full or part-time); an associate’s or higher degree in theatre, hospitality, marketing, or related fields can substitute for up to six months of experience. Arts background or passion preferred. Schedule This position is approximately 24 hours per week, with schedule to be set with the Lead Manager of Events & Rentals. Offers are contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background and/or professional reference check as per District of Columbia employment law.
