Job Overview – Finance Associate (Private Equity):

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000/year + bonus

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is seeking a Finance Associate (Private Equity) for our client in Montgomery County, PA. This in-office opportunity provides hands-on exposure to the full private equity investment lifecycle, including deal execution, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management. You’ll work directly with senior leadership, and C-level executives while building deep expertise in transactions, valuation, and investor reporting across a range of industries.

Responsibilities as the Finance Associate:

  • Deal Execution: Support all stages of private equity transactions, including buyouts, recapitalizations, and acquisition financing.
  • Financial Modeling: Build three-statement models and perform valuation, sensitivity, and scenario analyses.
  • Due Diligence & Analysis: Lead financial and operational diligence efforts in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Investment Committee Prep: Draft memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in tracking portfolio company performance, reporting, and strategic support.
  • Market Research: Conduct industry research, market sizing, and competitor benchmarking across key sectors.

Qualifications for the Finance Associate:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or transaction services, with a strong background in M&A execution and financial modeling.
  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Skills & Attributes: Analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for private equity in fast-paced environments.
