Real Estate Director of Finance and Analysis
Small but prominent Boston mixed-use real estate development firm seeks a person experienced in real estate finance to oversee various aspects of the firm's finances. Highly flexible part-time hours will make this position ideal for someone scaling back from full-time work or returning to the workforce with a need to work from home due to family obligations. Commitment is expected to be fairly minimal up front, in the range of 15-30 hours/month - at the lower end during typical months, and at the higher end (a) at the end of each quarter when reporting is due as described below, and (b) when new potential projects are being analyzed. As development projects break ground, commitment will likely increase to the range 10+/- hours/week, as this position will be responsible for construction requisition accounting and reporting.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Communicate with lenders and ensure all lender requirements are met
- Receive, review and compile monthly operational financial data and report to lender and investors
- Upload data to lender financial reporting systems
- Generate financials for quarterly report to investors
- Annually, provide data to audit and tax team and work to assure accurate completion of annual audit
- Work with project and lender auditors on various annual and quarterly requirements
- Work with project accountants on all items related to annual tax filings
- Work with insurance agents to review and renew insurance policies
- Create and run Excel acquisition and development models
- Upon project groundbreaking, prepare monthly draw requests and associated paperwork
