The POSITION
Under general direction, to supervise, plan, organize, manage, and perform fund development and grant activities targeting financial goals to support the operating budget for assigned departments and Alameda County Health; plan, coordinate, and review the work of subordinate staff; and to do related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
Positions in this classification are located in the Health Care Services Agency (HCSA), and reports to senior management are assigned to support their respective department. Incumbents in this classification are responsible for providing supervision, professional, administrative, and technical services in fund development and grant activities while having a strategic relationship with departmental Finance to maximize leveraging grant and federal-state funding sources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Health Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Relations, or a closely related field.(Additional professional experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.)
AND
Experience:
The equivalent of three (3) years of full-time professional-level experience in fundraising which included revenue generation through competitive federal grant applications, state and foundation competitive grant writing, bond financing, and/or private fundraising, including resource development, preferably for a non-profit or government organization. One (1) year of the required experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
