Job Description

Our client is seeking skilled Gas and Chemical Project Technicians to join our growing technical team supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role offers hands-on work with gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across multiple site locations. The successful candidate will help ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Gas and Chemical Project Technician

Location: Santa Clara / Sunnyvale, CA
Shift: Temporary M - F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (first 2-3 months for new hire training), then shift TBD (A, B, C, D, or compressed shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and lead technical operations and maintenance of gas, chemical, and slurry equipment

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain distribution systems and related hardware

• Perform cylinder and drum changes for chemical and gas supplies

• Write, edit, and execute standard operating and maintenance procedures

• Assist with emergency preparedness and response

• Support installation, decommissioning, and sustaining operations

• Operate computers to support job functions and quality systems

• Maintain a zero safety and quality incident culture

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders with fall protection

• Use of site-supplied respirators when handling chemicals (short duration)

• Basic lifting up to 40 lbs

• Bending, reaching overhead, and use of PPE (provided by employer)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (minimum)

• Prior experience in maintenance, equipment technician roles, or mechanical/electronic environments preferred

• Familiarity with chemical and gas distribution systems is a plus

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite

• Military experience or training is welcomed
