About The Indiana Department Of Health (IDOH) The Indiana Department of Health’s mission is to promote, protect, and improve the health and safety of all Hoosiers so that they can reach their optimal health regardless of where they live, learn, work, or play. Role Overview As a senior professional, you will develop, coordinate, and execute all aspects of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and Hospital Preparedness (HPP) grants. This includes grant application development, agreement drafting, monitoring, reporting, fiscal accountability, and close‑out. You will provide guidance to sub‑recipients and staff, and serve as the liaison between federal partners (CDC, HHS) and IDOH. A Day In The Life Research and identify external funding sources and develop grant proposals. Evaluate work plans and timelines to ensure timely submission of state or federal grant applications and program reports. Provide guidance to staff and the community on grant types, federal and agency requirements, and the application process. Assist potential recipients in the grant application process, including reviewing applications and recommending changes. Review submitted grant applications and assess eligibility for award based on established criteria. Make recommendations to supervisors and granting authority on potential recipients. Analyze project costs and prepare budget justifications and revisions for awarded grants. Monitor implementation, management, evaluation, and close‑out of grants according to rules and regulations. Ensure grantees comply with grant conditions by coordinating agreements, contracts, expenses, and federal and state regulations. What You’ll Need For Success Five (5) years of relevant experience in grant programs, program planning, public administration, and related fields. Extensive knowledge of grant application processes and applicable rules and regulations. Strong research, communication, and regulatory interpretation skills. Ability to work with reasonable accommodations and perform essential functions.
