InnerPlant is a seed technology company enabling the earliest possible detection of stress in crops to make farming universally more efficient and sustainable. We are developing innovative technologies to make a positive and lasting impact on the future of agriculture and the environment.

We are currently seeking multiple Greenhouse Technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will support day-to-day operations of our greenhouses and controlled environment plant growth spaces located in Woodland and Davis, CA. The ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a passion for plants.

Key Responsibilities

• Greenhouse care and maintenance including cleaning, sweeping, washing pots, checking irrigation equipment and sanitizing equipment
• Assist with plant care including preparing soil, filling pots, transplanting, watering, making fertilizer, staking and trellising plants
• Data collection and data entry tasks related to location tracking, plant status, insects, plant disease among other things
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, follow all company policies and procedures, and prioritize safety
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.

• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving workflows
• Be reliable, show up for work on time every day

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
• You enjoy and work effectively in a team setting. Punctual, efficient, and on task
• You are reliable, resourceful, a quick learner, and can multitask
• You have computer skills, including data entry into spreadsheets
• Can work productively with minimal supervision
• You are comfortable working in a greenhouse where it can be hot and humid
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods of time
• Able to do repetitive tasks that can be physically demanding and work in ergonomically demanding environments.
• Ability to work weekends a plus
• Previous experience in greenhouse, nursery or controlled environment agriculture a plus
• Knowledge of soybean and/or corn cultivation and agronomic practices is preferred
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Provide own transportation to and from plot location and between Woodland and Davis

Benefits

The US hourly range for this position is $20/hour - $25/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
