⚡ Role: Head of Congestion Analysis (FTR & Virtuals Trading)

This is a great opportunity for a experienced FTR Strategist/Analyst to join a leading Energy Trading Hedge Fund!

The Fund are active in all major ISO Sectors, and are actively looking to bring on a Top Candidate in the FTR space who can lead their congestion analysis and create trading strategies in the a number of FTR Markets!

You will work alongside industry leading professionals and continue to contribute to their collaborative and high performing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop profitable trading strategies in FTR auctions across MISO, SPP, ERCOT and PJM.
• Provide Hands On Power Flow Analysis using industry.
• Lead a team of Analysts & Engineers to support forecasting and execution.
• Monitor and adapt to evolving ISO rules and regulatory changes impacting congestion markets.

Qualifications:

• 3–10+ years of experience in power trading, with a strong track record in FTR/CRR/TCC markets.
• Deep expertise in ISO auction mechanisms and congestion modeling.
• Proven success in FTR trading.
• Strong quantitative skills and a strategic, analytical mindset.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach; comfortable in a build-from-scratch environment.
• Leadership capabilities.
