Job Title : Healthcare Data Engineer

Location : Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for healthcare data
• Integrate data from various healthcare sources including EHR/EMR systems, claims, HL7, FHIR, and third-party APIs
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with healthcare standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, ICD, CPT)
• Work with structured and unstructured healthcare data in various formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV, flat files)
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and clinical teams to ensure data availability and usability
• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions and analytics platforms
• Implement data security best practices and support audit/compliance activities
• Document data architecture, data flow, and transformation logic for stakeholders and technical teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field
• Experience with healthcare data engineering, analytics, or informatics
• Strong experience with SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Apache NiFi, dbt)
• Proficiency in scripting and data processing using Python, PySpark, or Scala
• Experience working with healthcare interoperability standards like HL7, FHIR, CCD, and X12 EDI
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Databricks)
• Experience in data governance, privacy, and compliance in a healthcare setting (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH)
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Federal or payer/provider experience is a plus
• Federal Experience is a plus.
