Information Researcher

Government

$19.25 per hour

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm

Columbus, Ohio (onsite)

90-Day Contract with Potential to Extend

What You’ll Do:

• Use your research skills to find contact information and to locate individuals using various online databases, social media, and public records
• During the government shutdown, process mailed information manually: sort letters by location, box and ship them, and track shipments using Excel (including updating tracking numbers)
• Collaborate with other investigators to share leads and improve outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of all investigative activities in compliance with legal and privacy standards
• Follow all ethical and legal guidelines
• Help improve skip tracing strategies for better efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, secure setting
• Must work in a secure room with strict device policies (no phones or AirPods at desks; emergency contact procedures in place)
• Skilled in online research using various search engines and databases
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
• High ethical standards and discretion with sensitive data
• Capable of obtaining a Public Trust Clearance
• Experienced in skip tracing and familiar with related tools and techniques
• Knowledge of the collections industry is a plus
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with initiative and adaptability
