Internal Auditor I is responsible for performing compliance, financial and operational audits as developed and mandated by Internal Audit Leadership to assess operations' effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations. Responsible for completing audits in a timely and accurate manner. Required to prepare, plan, and organize assignments with guidance.
Performs observations and walkthroughs, analytical reviews, reconciliations, examines documents, and other procedures sufficient to determine an opinion, render a conclusion, or otherwise meet the objectives of the assignment. Develops an understanding of internal controls and their impact on related business processes. Works under direction of others. Oversight and observations of promotional events in accordance with NYSMICS.

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.
