Internship (Summer) (Intern - Paid)
Department-Office-Secretariat: Secretariat of Pro-life Activities
The Intern contributes to the mission of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops by supporting the work of the Bishops Conference in its mission to educate and advocate for the protection of the dignity of all human life. The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in pro-life work through assisting with the general work of the Secretariat and helping with preparations and on-site logistics for a major pro-life leadership event. This is a paid internship position which will require work to be done in-person and will involve some overnight travel and off-site work for the event.
Continuing Responsibilities: (List from highest to lowest priority.)
1. Assist with preparations for national conference, including assembling registration materials (folders, badges, and other materials).
2. Oversee collection of speaker resources (such as handouts and power points) before the event as well as on-site coordination with AV team of scheduled display (and distribution) of power points and speaker handouts during conference sessions.
3. On-site help at national conference, including greeting attendees at registration table, assisting with event liturgies, and other logistical help as needed.
4. Track donor records for the People of Life Campaign.
5. Assist with daily office duties, such as monitoring the general email inbox, updating records of diocesan contacts, and assisting with special projects.
Level: Must be a current undergraduate with minimum of two years of complete coursework or graduate student
This role pays $21.08 per hour.
