Job description The IT Systems Administrator position will work under the supervision of our third party IT administrator, a leading provider of IT services and consulting for small to medium-sized businesses. This position requires in-office presence Monday through Friday. Candidates must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to commute comfortably to the office. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. Position Summary: We are in search of a dedicated IT Systems Administrator with expertise in maintaining and optimizing Information Systems. This is an on-site, full-time role, where the successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring smooth IT operations, assisting with upgrades, as well as supporting executive management’s IT needs at their homes. Primary Responsibilities: Offer primary IT support across applications including, but not limited to, MS Office, Office 365, Outlook, Apple Mail, VPN clients, Active Directory, JIRA, Teams Phones, and Veeam backups. Deliver IT network services and exemplary customer support to both internal and external users. Maintain and update a log of incidents, job tickets, and maintenance tasks using our help desk tools. Conduct daily system inspections to proactively address potential malfunctions. Stay informed about the latest developments in IT and tech trends. Oversee the documentation of network conditions and requirements. Promptly respond to end-user requests via phone, email, or chat, addressing a range of IT concerns. Utilize our internal database to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring user comprehension for future prevention. Escalate complex problems to relevant teams or levels for efficient resolution. Execute software installations or upgrades, profile setups, and password resets when required. Adhere to and exceed service level standards for responsiveness and quality. Undertake additional responsibilities as deemed necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field highly preferred; relevant certifications and/or equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Minimum of 6 years in IT support roles. Proficiency in Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with Macintosh platforms. Demonstrated excellence in procedural and process-oriented documentation. Effective communication skills, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences. Stellar customer service and interpersonal acumen. Organized with a knack for prioritizing a midst multiple tasks. Zeal for continuous learning and professional development. Team-oriented mindset; experience collaborating with remote team members is a plus. Familiarity with diverse IT hardware and their functionalities. Physical capability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds; proficiency in cable management. Must be able to commute from a reasonable distance to our San Francisco office five days per week.
