Join the FedEx Ground team as a Pick Up & Delivery Driver
Location: Hutchins, TX
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $800.00 - per week
Schedule: Vary per route, must be able to work weekends
As an experienced FedEx Ground Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of all packages to both our business and residential customers along a designated route. You will operate a delivery vehicle (box truck or step van) and utilize scanning technology to ensure accurate package tracking and delivery confirmation. You will also be responsible for pickups within a designated time frame.
Duties:
Safely operate a delivery vehicle (box truck ot step van)
Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle
Ensuring all packages are delivered on time and picked up within the time window.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the terminal as needed.
Represent FedEx professionally, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor with customers.
Utilize a handheld scanner.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3 years).
Minimum 1 year of verifiably commercial driving experience (examples may include: lawn service trailer towing,moving company, Kroger, Amazon delivery, etc)
Must be able to lift, carry, and move packages of varying sizes and weights (up to 150 lbs)
MUST pass DOT physical and obtain DOT medical card
MUST be at the terminal by 7:30 AM
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think on your feet and resolve delivery challenges effectively.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Must be at least 21 years of age (per DOT regulations).
IDEAL CANDIDATES
Early bird: be at the terminal by 7:30 a.m.
Be flexible (ending times may vary, depending on package and stop count)
Quick learner
Available to work Monday thru Friday and weekends as needed
Able to work independently and handle various tasks during the day
Willing and able to work a physically demanding job, lifting, bending, lots of walking
ZERO drivers license suspensions in the past 3 years.
