Job Details

Our esteemed legal firm is seeking a seasoned Permanent Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for law. You'll be a part of a fast-paced environment, working closely with our accounting and legal teams. Our ideal candidate is someone who can handle the pressure and deliver results, ensuring our billing operations run smoothly and efficiently.

As a Permanent Billing Specialist, you will:

1. Coordinate and execute complex billing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
2. Process e-bills in compliance with client and firm guidelines, ensuring all invoices are submitted promptly.
3. Utilize Aderant software for billing and financial management, maintaining up-to-date records of all transactions.
4. Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to resolve billing issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
5. Generate financial reports for senior management, providing insights into billing trends and potential areas of improvement.
6. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of client billing requirements, ensuring all invoices comply with specific guidelines and protocols.
7. Participate in the development of new billing procedures and systems, contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

To qualify for this exciting role, you must:

1. 3+ years of experience in a billing role, preferably within a law firm.
2. Possess a strong understanding of e-bills and their role in modern billing operations.
3. Be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and have experience with Aderant or a similar financial management system.
4. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
5. Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and legal professionals.
6. Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Have a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement solutions.
