Job Description

A school in Plainfield, NJ, is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide leave coverage for a K-12 classroom. This contract position offers an opportunity to deliver impactful education to students with special needs, focusing on Math and Science subjects.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students classified as Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD).
• Delivering differentiated instruction in Math and Science to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communicating regularly with parents and administration.
• Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth.

Qualifications:

• Valid Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification required.
• Highly qualified in Math and Science instruction.
• Experience working with K-12 students with special needs.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

• Position is located in Plainfield, New Jersey, serving a K-12 school setting.

Contract Details:

• Assignment dates: September 23, 2025 through April 27, 2026.
• This is a leave replacement contract.
