Position We currently have an opening for a Researcher in the Market Design and Auctions Group located in our New York City office. This position involves joining a team that uses quantitative and qualitative methods to design and manage auctions, develop bidding strategies, and analyze market rules and pricing. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field, a strong academic record, exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to communicate complex analyses clearly. The following are not requirements but would be highly desirable: prior experience in communications, radio spectrum or energy markets; a Master’s degree in economics, business, or environment; or knowledge of a foreign language, especially Spanish. Responsibilities The qualified candidate will work independently within a team environment on client advisory projects and litigation casework. Areas include designing and conducting radio spectrum auctions, empirical analyses, modelling, and interface with regulatory authorities. Ideal candidates will have interest and/or experience in Game Theory. This position offers the opportunity to travel domestically and overseas (up to 15%). The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
