OUTSIDE SALES SUMMARY:

Doyle Security Products, a 100-year-old security hardware distributor, is looking for a highly motivated and detailed oriented Outside Sales Representative for our Wisconsin, Illinois, and Eastern Iowa territory. Product experience is a plus but not necessary. This position is 100% commission-based with a $50,000 draw against commission and remote, reporting to the main office located on the Mississippi near the North Loop of Minneapolis (FREE Parking).

OUTSIDE SALES DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Up to 80% travel with company car to customers within their territory to provide product and service information.
  • Understands customer needs and requirements.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest to develop new business and ensure growth of existing accounts.
  • Manage creation and presentation of quotations for opportunities as they are identified.
  • Source new opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Gain and retain extensive product selection application knowledge as well as detailed comprehension of customer requirements.
  • Attend internal continuing education of product and vendor classes (onsite and virtual).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

OUTSIDE SALES QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical solutions and developmental skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and resolutions clearly.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to job.
