JobsRUs.com is currently hiring for Production Operators for a recycling company located in Dundee, MI.

* Previous experience working in a recycling facility is preferred.

Pay is $18.75 per hour.

Employees work a 12 hour shift, 3 to 4 days per week.

Night shift hours are 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Utilize forklift to carry product to specific lines within the plant
* Move, retrieve, and empty hoppers throughout the plant
* Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping.
* Perform job duties in accordance with all written work instructions and procedures.
* Perform quality checks related to line operation.
* As needed utilize manufacturing data systems to perform basic shop floor functions.
* Respond to process control alarms, bringing processes back into control.
* Disposition non-conforming products according to established criteria.
* Coordinates the training sessions for all new hires in the department.
* Identifies opportunities for departmental improvement.
* Assists in changeovers, productivity and scrap.
* Assists in training and mentoring as assigned.
* Participate in Plant meetings.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

* Lifting Requirements: 0 - 50 lbs.
* Constant: Lift and/or move up to 15lbs.
* Drive forklift
* Frequent: Sit, stand and walk up to 12 hours per day. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
* Environment: Exposed to high levels of noise, recyclable debris and smell.
* Able to visually examine minute defects in parts and products.
* Must be able to reach overhead, crouch/squat, kneel, climb ladders and/or stairs.
* Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment: eye, ear, head and toe protection and
high visibility safety vest
