Manpower Engineering is closely partnering with a very reputable, established and growing company on a newly created, highly visible, and direct hire/permanent Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer, P.E. position. The company’s main office is in Stevens Point, WI and they have branch offices in Green Bay, WI and Sun Prairie, WI and this role may sit in any of the three locations. Our client is looking for someone that would like to lead and grow the office/department and be in a Director level role.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A robust workload has led to the company searching for new team members to help continue the growth and success of their firm! They’re seeking a motivated, organized, and driven Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer, P.E.. This person will work closely with the other Design Members and the Director of Engineering to ensure efficient, and effective, project design, management and productivity.

The Project Manager/Senior Civil Engineer, P.E. will work directly with the Director of Engineering to effectively manage multiple projects from start to finish alongside their support staff. Effective communication and strong organizational skills with their teams of staff and clientele will be a must, to ensure projects run smoothly, and issues are proactively resolved prior to construction being completed. Situational analysis including problem solving skills that results in quick, adaptive, solutions to problems and successfully balance competing priorities. The ideal team member can handle difficult situations and to diplomatically coach management and employees on effective practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to manage & oversee projects alongside support staff.
  • Construction document preparation.
  • Evaluate project code compliance.
  • Coordinate with reviewing agencies, to obtain all necessary permits, pertaining to site development.
  • Coordinate with clients and a variety of professionals including architects and subcontractors.
  • Compiling job specifications to be used for construction.
  • Making sure projects comply with Local, State, and Federal requirements.
  • Construction costs estimation.
  • Construction observation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Project and staff leadership/management experience.
  • Experience With Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and WinSlamm Stormwater Modeling Software.
  • Experience with developing and managing project budgets.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Code/Ordinances and Permitting requirements and procedures .
