Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Associate – Second Shift
Location: Onsite, Allentown, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Training: Ideally 1 month on first shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), flexible for qualified candidates
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary (initial backfill with potential for long-term assignment)
Position Summary:
Advantage Technical is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Associate to support second-shift operations. This role is a backfill for an upcoming leave, with the possibility of extension based on business growth. The ideal candidate will bring experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech) and have a strong understanding of GMP, GDP, and QA procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual inspection of labels and finished products for defects.
Escalate non-conformances or quality issues to QA leadership promptly.
Conduct batch record reviews for accuracy and completeness.
Complete and review the Daily Compliance Verification Checklist.
Collect and document environmental monitoring samples and sterility tests.
Support aseptic technique qualification and fill process validations.
Submit product samples to appropriate labs for chemical and microbial testing.
Maintain accurate and complete QA documentation and batch records.
Contribute to monthly and quarterly QA reports.
Support audits and inspection readiness activities.
Participate in other quality-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required (science or technical discipline preferred).
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant industry experience (GMP environment strongly preferred).
Knowledge:
Good understanding of GMP and GDP.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; training will be provided on internal systems.
Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
Additional Information:
Preference for onsite interviews.
Occasional business travel may be required.
