Job Description

Mid-Level Associate

The Los Angeles office of Hogan Lovells is seeking an outstanding mid-level associate to join our highly regarded real estate practice. Ideal candidates should have two to five years of real estate transactional experience, preferably from a large law firm. The attorney for this position will principally advise clients in connection with their commercial real estate transactions, financings and workouts. This position will afford the incoming associate the opportunity to develop a varied skilled set and work with colleagues in multiple offices.

Preferred candidates will have experience with real estate finance, purchase and sale and/or joint ventures. All candidates should have level-appropriate experience in managing matters and have comfort interacting directly with clients. Strong level-appropriate drafting skills, excellent academic credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence are required. Further, candidates should be excellent supervisors of junior attorneys and paralegals.

A resume or CV is a must for our application system. We also require you to include a cover letter to tell us why you are interested in this position and a law school transcript (or the equivalent). Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Bar in the United States.

Compensation for this role will be top-of-market, with an annualized salary range of $235,000 to $365,000, depending on the candidate's overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hours-based bonus, consistent with market practice. In addition, this position will be eligible for the firm's fringe benefits as they currently exist.

To apply, please complete the online application, attaching a resume, cover letter, and law school transcript addressed to Kasey Fenn, Senior Manager, Associate Recruitment, Western Region.

Hogan Lovells is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, protected Veteran status, or other factors protected by law.

Hogan Lovells complies with federal and state disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and candidates with disabilities. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, please contact our Benefits Department.
