As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within an educational setting. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will be a trusted presence, responding to situations as they arise and communicating clearly with all individuals on site. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within an educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences as observed during patrols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
