Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Consultation : Lead efforts to improve patient care delivery and nursing practice within the Emergency Department, aligning with national specialty practice guidelines, research, and technological advancements.
Collaboration : Work system-wide with nursing, service lines, and other departments to influence positive changes in patient care.
Education & Development : Provide expert education and training to staff, including developing programs and resources for nursing practice and patient care.
Research & Evidence-Based Practice : Contribute to and lead research efforts in the Emergency Department to enhance patient outcomes and promote best practices.
Clinical Expertise : Serve as a clinical expert in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Quality Improvement : Support continuous quality improvement initiatives, promote best practices, and help implement evidence-based changes in care delivery.
Professional Development : Act as a mentor for other nursing professionals, guiding them in clinical practice, education, and career advancement.
Required :
Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.
Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in the specialty of Emergency Department.
National Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire.
Oregon Registered Nurse License and Advanced Practice - Clinical Nurse Specialist License upon hire.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
Preferred :
2 years of experience in teaching adult learners.
2 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
