Senior Pastor for Britt David Baptist Church – Columbus, GA

Church Overview: Britt David Baptist Church, located in Columbus, Georgia, is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation committed to the Gospel and rooted in the truth of Scripture. We are a growing church with a heart for missions, community outreach, and the discipleship of believers. Our average Sunday attendance is 125-150. Our congregation is diverse, consisting of individuals and families from all walks of life, with a strong commitment to spiritual growth, Biblical teaching and adherence to the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message. Pastoral Qualifications:

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, demonstrating spiritual maturity
Ordained Southern Baptist Minister
Education: Master of Divinity or equivalent theological training is preferred
Experience: At least 5 years of pastoral ministry is preferred, with a proven track record of effective preaching, leadership, and discipleship
Commitment to:
- Expositional preaching, understanding that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God
- Faithfully pray and study God’s Word, setting a Biblical, Godly example
- A priority to reach the youth, college & young adult generation
- Apply Biblical church discipline when necessary
- Leading the church staff to effectively minister to the needs of the Body of Christ
- A heart for evangelism
- A focus on missions and willingness to serve and promote missions involvement
- Adhere to the 2000 Baptist Faith & Message
Skills and Characteristics:
- Strong Biblical knowledge and doctrinal integrity
- Excellent communicator with the ability to connect with a diverse congregation
- Shepherd’s heart with a passion for pastoral care and discipleship
- Ability to equip and train leaders
- Ability to resolve conflict
- Visionary with a focus on the spiritual growth of the church
