Senior Product Manager

Introduction to the team

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company .

The Communications product team is accountable for both our communications platform and the E2E experience of comms. Our vision is To reach, engage, assist and delight travelers and partners everywhere through contextual, personalized, trusted communications

The Senior Product Manager will develop strategy and drive delivery in our E2E Subscriptions space . The role requires a detail-orientated, technically skilled individual with strong data fluency . They should understand complex data flows, legal compliance and management of communication subscriptions across multiple brands, channels and country jurisdictions .

In this role, you will:

Craft the product vision and strategy for subscriptions management as well as supporting capabilities related to data compliance

Create a comprehensive product roadmap that maps target outcomes and KPIs to delivery milestones

Lead by example and help the whole team double down on best practice product management principles

Understand technical components of your Product and appropriately influence technical decisions

Identify , influence and motivate key stakeholders across product teams

Ensure accountability across all our customer groups through rigorously sizing product opportunities and aligning them to key business objectives

Identify and create new opportunities to improve your product to optimize the customer experience and grow EG value

Build relationships with internal teams, balance diverse interests and ensure adoption and value delivery through collaborating to develop adoption strategies informed by a compelling value proposition for end users

Iteratively experiment and recommend strategies to optimize performance

Consider user experience/drive customer-centric design solutions to optimize E2E user journeys

Use data and models to tell stories that influence product decision making and prioritization

Drive consistency and quality in documentation/translation of technical and product reqs across teams

Own milestones and release planning for large and complex projects

Communicate effectively i.e. demonstrate storytelling, persuasion, negotiation and conflict resolution skills .

Experience and qualifications:

6-8+ years of product management experience, with a keen eye on high-performing product management principles

Ideal candidate has experience in the communications space, e.g. email, push, SMS, CRM, communications platform integrations with delivery vendors , etc.

Product management experience with in MarTech space (Marketing Technology) desirable

Bachelors or Masters degree; or equivalent related professional experience.

Strong strategic thinking skills with a customer-centric approach .

Robust analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decisions .

Hyper-organized and able to effectively multi-task across different priorities.

Proven ability to conduct experimentation and user segmentation analysis to identify and target the right user with the right experience to drive outcomes.

Outstanding influencing, decision-making and collaboration skills across diverse teams, including product, engineering, research, design, analytics, data science and marketing to achieve company goals.

Effective ability to communicate abstract ideas at a highest level and translate them into detailed user stories.

Expertise in breaking down problems to build solutions incrementally.
