Job Description

We are partnering with a leading B2B manufacturing in need of a creative and analytical Social Media Specialist to join their marketing team and help elevate their digital presence across key platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of the B2B buyer journey, content strategy, and platform-specific best practices.
This is an open-ended contract and will require a hybrid capacity (3 days onsite) in Chicago.

Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:

• Plan, create, and manage social media content across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
• Align social media strategy with broader marketing and business objectives, including product launches, trade shows, and sales campaigns
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., product managers, sales, customer service) to develop industry-relevant and technically accurate content
• Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics (e.g., engagement, impressions, click-through rate, follower growth) to inform optimization
• Manage social media calendar and coordinate with content, design, and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
• Leverage paid social campaigns to support key marketing initiatives and track ROI

Social Media Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in a B2B or manufacturing environment
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging content. Portfolio and/or samples required
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer)
• Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, LinkedIn Insights)
• Basic knowledge of graphic design or working with creative teams on visuals is a plus
