SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer - Sanitary Piping (Biotech/Food/Pharma)

  • 1+ years of dedicated 3D design experience in sanitary piping systems for the biotechnology, food, and/or pharmaceutical industries is required
  • An engineering degree (or an additional year of 3D SolidWorks design experience) is also a requirement
  • Pay is $50,000 to $70,000
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote

This full time, permanent SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer opening is at a growing, diverse, custom structural, system and metal component manufacturer. Customers are diverse and include biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical companies. The company promotes from within and does not hold employees back from growing their skillset and careers. Numerous advancement opportunities will exist as the company continues to grow. This smaller company values employees and treats employees well. The company has been in existence for approximately 30 years and employs approximately 100 employees. The company has not experienced a layoff since 2007.

If an employee has the aptitude and drive they can advance to a project management role. This position is available due to continued company growth due to demand for company products. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

  • Creating detailed, custom 3D SolidWorks drawings
  • Taking direction from and working closely with project managers and project engineers
  • Creating bills of materials

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • 1 or more years of 3D SolidWorks design experience with sanitary piping in the biotechnology, food and/or pharmaceutical industries
  • An engineering degree (or an additional year of 3D SolidWorks design experience)
  • A proficiency or a willingness to gain proficiency with electrical controls and fluid mechanics
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
